Baseball Equipment Guide
Here is some basic information around what type of equipment your child will need. For additional questions, please reach out to your coach or player agent.
Our league partners with local sporting goods stores for coupons, and also hosts a used gear sale (donations accepted also) a few times a year. Be on the lookout in your email for this information.
Gloves
-
Most important piece of gear. Must fit and be easy to open/close.
-
T-Ball: Inexpensive, flexible glove (avoid stiff or plastic).
-
Pioneer/Farm: 9.5–10.5" glove, usually leather, still focused on control.
-
Farm and above: Higher-quality leather gloves, may need “break-in.”
Bats
-
Bat must be small/light enough for control and speed.
-
T-Ball–Majors: Must have USA Baseball stamp.
-
Intermediate/Juniors: USA, BBCOR, or wood bats allowed.
-
Recommended sizes:
-
T-Ball: ≤26" Note: The league will have bats for T-Ball players to use during practices and games.
-

-
Farm: 26–28" / 16–18 oz
-

Batting Helmets

-
Require NOCSAE seal.
-
Optional: face cage or C-flap (must be manufacturer-approved).
T-Ball: The league will have helmets for players to use during practices and games.
Cleats
-
Improve traction.

-
Intermediate/Juniors: Rubber or metal (bring rubber for turf fields).
-
Soccer cleats are fine if no metal spikes.
Baseball Pants
-

-
Farm–Juniors: Players supply own baseball pants; color chosen by Team Manager. Cups recommended for Minors and above.
