Several national organizations provide grants specifically for youth sports registration fees. These are free to apply for and funded by generous donors and corporate sponsors.
Before applying to Sunnyvale Metro for fee waiver assistance, we require that families show they were not supported by at least one of the following programs:
T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant
Specifically designed for Little League families. Covers registration fees. Requires proof of Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC benefits. Managed through Every Kid Sports.
All Kids Play — Youth Sports Grant
National grant for families with children in grades K–12. Covers registration fees, equipment, and other costs. Full grants for families earning less than 60% of state median income; partial grants also available.
Every Kid Sports Pass
Covers youth sports registration fees for qualifying families. Applications open seasonally — sign up for their newsletter to be notified when the next window opens.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will anyone know my family received financial aid?
No. All applications are completely confidential. Coaches, team managers, and other families will not be informed. Your child will have the same experience as every other player.
What if I can pay part of the fee but not all of it?
We offer partial scholarships too. Let us know what works for your family and we'll do our best to meet you where you are.
Do I need to apply for the external grants before coming to the league?
We strongly encourage it because those programs have dedicated funding and can often cover the full registration fee. However, if timing is tight or you've already been denied, contact us right away.
What if I don't have any of the listed documents?
Please reach out to us anyway. We understand that every family's situation is different, and we're committed to finding a path forward together.
Can I apply for financial aid for more than one child?
Absolutely. If you have multiple children who want to play, we'll work with you on aid for each of them.
Does financial aid cover equipment too?
Our league scholarship primarily covers registration fees. However, we maintain a used gear library that we can make available. Some of the external grants (like All Kids Play) may also cover equipment; check their application for details.
